Issie is the champion speller in the Middle school, she tried hard not to win and mispelt 2 words but still won, she will go through to the next stage against other schools, there are some very difficult words on the list! i think only asian canadians win!
Glad that you are having fun in Sydney, it is a very nice city and I would love to take the kids as they would enjoy it, Not much news here, Michael is due to go to WHistler next week skiing for a few days with a good friend from Seattle who now lives in Atlanta but he won't go if the snow is bad. You can leave on wednesday afternoon get up to Whistler by midnight, ski for 4 days and come home on monday. He even bought some new ski's for the occasion.
The snow has been melting but tomorrow the temp drops to -14 during the day and -19 at night. Both Adam and Anna are doing exams, Issie made the badminton team so she is at school at 7am 2 mornings a week.
Spoke to Phil yesterday who sounded well
love Angela

It was nice to hear about senior and arguably favourite but recalcitrant grandkids - new words for Issie - Granny and I would be very proud for a winner in spelling composition - not grandads strong point.
ReplyDeleteAdam - well my dream of skiing with you at Whistler and giving you a few tips! seem to be receding - the last time i skied was in 2005 and i got a medal for 3rd in slalom. I hear you have exams which seems a little early in the year - which uni are you hoping to go to .
I am using a new Apple similiar to you - they take some time to get used to but very clean and keyboard easy to use. The new tablet looks nice - my notepad broke down before we left which is a nuisance as i use overseas. Give me youe news
Anna - i hear you have been on Thomas Cook tours =
of colleges and hoping to go to Boston area - are these girls only! There are few in Uk - even James Stoneyhurst now take girls in 6th form pre university. You always wanted to study medicine as a child - a baby doctor - just think if you became an eye surgeon like grandad. There has just been a photo in Huddersfield Examiner from 1986 - a column called memories and there was I with a 96 year old lady i had operated for Xmas. I have ordered many copies for you all.
Issie - i was surprised Badminton - not very physical after rugger although i saw many eye injuries in hospital as the shuttle goes very fast - the game for you will be lacrosse at uni - fiery . It may only be a UK sport. You will be lonely next year so no excuse for not emailing .
We are moving into a beautiful flat tomorrow Horizon 184 Forbes Street Darlinghurst - look on Google. all you would love Sydney - pity Chris left behind as alive for young people.
There may be silence now as no computer in new place
